Kenai Central High School has a swimming pool that is available to the public. There are designated times for lap swim, swim lessons and open swim. The Peninsula Piranhas swim team and the Kenai Central High School swim team both practice there as well. Skyview High School has a pool open to the public as well. Skyview pool offers lap swim, water polo/water volleyball, open swim, water aerobics, personal lessons and adult classes. One of the benefits of living in Nikiski is the Nikiski Swimming Pool. The cost of admissions is $4 for adults, $2 for senior citizens, and kids get in free if you are a Nikiski resident. The pool is great for people who are looking to do lap swimming; it has 6 lanes that are 25 yards each. The pool depth ranges from 1 foot to 10 feet. There is a great kiddy pool for the younger kids that range from 1 to 3 feet. There is a deep end that is 10 feet and has a diving board. There is even a fun water slide for people of all ages to enjoy. There is even a hot tub for those who are just looking for sit back and relax while the kids are out playing.
